weare Henry “Reks” Nwasokwa & David “Blaks” Blake otherwise known as London’s finest Pop Rap duo, JFXmusic, have been on their music grind for some time now and like anything that has exceeded its limits, they are breaking through by all means.

Both artists began rhyming in their early school days and started off in separate groups but were heavily involved in each other’s musical projects. Having grown up together since the age of 4, the bond between these young men is like no other. Reading each other’s musical mind is not unknown for these guys. It was inevitable as destiny took place fusing their musical abilities, bringing the change the music industry highly anticipated.

Between the years of 2006 – 10, the boys have managed to independently sell over 25 thousand copies of their collection of mix tapes across the UK. This has dramatically increased the buzz and reputation of JFXmusic, earning them their rightful place in the underground urban music scene. Not only do Reks and Blaks rap, they also produce and song write, these multiple skills helped get the boys recognised by all as a talented hit making force.

weare2 The boys had a brief spell of recognition with their 1st underground Single, Summer Time in 2007; the single was a huge hit for the guys and was nationally televised. 2009 brought a whole new image style, musical sound and determination. They decided to implement different popular elements of UK pop, indie, electro and funky house music into their trademark sound and came up with a style which could only be described as JFXmusic.

Their new style and image was rapidly accepted and as word spread about the boys, JFXmusic were invited on to an online voting music television program called the Cordless Show. Their new fan base supported them throughout and blasted them to the top of the competition and JFXmusic added the title Cordless Show winners to their CV.

As their fan base rises, JFXmusic continue to produce mind blowing music which can only be described as future chart toppers. Performing all over the country, these boys have got the industry talking and fans anxiously anticipating their next live gig. Also rumoured to be starting up their fashion label in the near future, JFX have got interest from some major fashion labels.

Titled by some as the UKs “Outcast”, their clever musical interaction with each other an immense aura makes them the life of any party. Reks & Blaks are out to give you a performance unlike anything you have seen or heard before. Smooth Rapper/Producer/Song Writer David “Blaks” Blake has always been into music from a young age, having brief encounters with the recorder, cello, drums and piano, he knows how to put a song together and realises arrangement is a big factor to a hit. Known to be a perfectionist, you can always guarantee you’ll be getting the best of whatever he’s a part of. That being said, this young artist tends to lose all seriousness having left the studio, but still carries a drive that is 2nd to none. When not physically recording or producing, out comes his charming fun character, there’s a real balance of maturity in this young man.

Hard hitting Rapper/songwriter Henry “Reks” Nwasokwa from a young age has been under the influence of a collection of artist’s such as Bone thugs, Nas, and So Solid Crew. This soon inspired him to become musically engaged with lyrical poetry and song writing. His abilities lye deep within the content of his rap, unique unorthodox style and witty punch lines, a character not to be messed with when it comes to the mic. Outside of business he’s often been noticed for his clown like behaviour and know it all attitude, an infectious personality you can’t contain but defiantly grow to love.
